You can use the time between daylight and dark to your advantage by working a little in the yard or with some potted plants.
I took to the garden with a trowel to see what I can find to pot

Luck has an international flavour so chase that dream holiday prize.
It just so happened that Britain's Got Talent had a prize on:
"Firstly, it's off to New York for five nights trip to Broadway where you'll see Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark. You'll also spend a week in Los Angeles where you'll head to Hollywood Boulevard to see international hit "War Horse"."
That sounded like a very international flavour so I got online and sent of my application
Wish me luck!

Day 21: Did You Lose Something

Day 21

Sunday 26th May
Famous Births - John Wayne (1907) Bobcat Goldthwait (1962), Luca Toni (1977)
Dave Rutherford

On Day 21 Astrologer #8 Patrick Arundell said:
quiet reading and a chance to retreat from the world and its problems may help you regain a sense of inner peace.
Well time for me too get down to that book about the Pope who quit then I always find everything papal particularly interesting. Charlie Dawson favour's the more extreme, dig up my predecessor type popes. Johnny McGillion believes this pope is the last pope and we're all doomed afterwards:
  • In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit [i.e., as bishop].
Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End
Rather ominous no doubt, perhaps a light hearted picture of Pope emeritus Benedict XVI?

Make more time for pleasurable pursuits.
Alright  Russ I think I'll head for a quiet pint tonight seeing as you made me stay in and read Stephen King last night

Astrologer #17 Jacquline Bigar added:
Schedule some time with a friend. Squeeze in a nap somewhere along the way.
Well as I made reference to yesterday Dean was back, so I scheduled that quiet pint with him in Diceys and went for my nap
Nice so 10pm came and we hit the town no sooner had we got our 2 pints (Magners Draught if the stars ask you to buy me a pint) and settled in Horse's favourite seat next to the door than this epic tune came on:

Always a favourite for Deans app that correctly guess when Laurie is singing Bruno Mars. Well anyway the quiet pint was anything but with us ending up in the riverclub thanks to that damn magic 8 ball, well for the first time in the experiment I ended up money for a brief period
Gerald Kelly - Did you lose something
Me - Errrrrm
Gerald Kelly - Don't say I never do anything for you (hands me £20 note)
Me - Good man
Yup the stars were smiling on me, that £20 bought me and Dean two Malibu's and two Jagerbombs

Beneficial colours are iris and butterscotch. Lucky numbers are 21 and 25

I love butterscotch! When was the last time you tasted authentic butterscotch? Flavor, sauce, memory, aroma, era: butterscotch was an all but extinct, or out-of-date substance, and flavour until recently. Now it’s all the rage. So I went and bought a packet of these bad boys. AWOOOOOGA!

Save your money and spend it on another day
At the start of this experiment I consulted a website called luckydays.tv that website tells you your lucky days for gambling based on your astrological details, my best days for gambling fell on Days 16, 30 and 39 of this experiment, the rules dictate that I follow luck, however Rick was telling me not to gamble today, so I didn't and will wait until day 30.

Astrologer #5 Kelli Fox said
Today, enjoy being an analytical observer. You'll get a kick out of discussing things with your friends
My cousin Leanne was home, so we watched the new series Hannibal, based on characters and elements appearing in the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris and focuses on the budding relationship between FBI special investigator Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy. Being a psychologist I don't have much time for psychiatrists, but who can't be charmed by Hannibal.
Analytically my other cousin Marcia didn't really get it:
"So that guy killed her?"
"no"
So he did kill her?"
"yes"
"wait so who killed her?"
"Hannibal"
"I'm confused"

Astrologer #14 WebWombat said:

Day 13-15: When your words mean nothing, I go la la la

Day 13

I've fallen a bit behind with the blogs so I'm going to surmise the next few days with you shortly and succinctly and then we will be back on track again, plus I added some page breaks. Exciting!

On day 13 astrologer 2 Da Juana Byrd
perhaps a stroll through an art gallery is favourably indicated
Excellent I love a bit of old art as much as the next man, which isn't very much but the stars had spoken
astrologer 8 Patrick Arundell added:
The company of good friends may be just the panacea you need to feel upbeat.
So I grabbed two of my closest friends and we were on our way, a dramatic interpretation of our day at the gallery can be viewed below

Day 14

Day 14 was an emotional day, the 1500th and final game for Sir Alex Ferguson as manager of Manchester United and also the final league game of the season, no more football until the confederations Cup :/ unless I go back to betting on Icelandic youth football or Indian Women's football ... but there's no demand for that. #ThankYouSirAlex

On Day 14 Astrologer 5 Kelli fox
So try to draw your important messages or even write a poem about them.
I haven't written anything, because I'm not really good at that type of thing. But I did a drawing.
What do you think?
It's me, in the nip, with a dog!

Extreme Rules was on that night so the perfect place to put my a wrestling GIF, GIFs are cool kids, GIFs are cool!
It's clobbering time

Day 12: Veni Vidi Vici

Well almost 2 weeks in now I'm down a little financially but I'm up in Health, I've felt love from friends and family too and people seem to like this blog so onwards and upwards I guess

This is certainly not a day to lounge around, you need to get out and feel
Looks like I'm heading out for another walk then, I texted a mate and we were off out to take in the local scenery around Skyfall
What a lovely set of pictures eh we walked roughly 10 miles in 3 and a half hours and then watched Trigger Happy TV

Astrologer 6 Marjorie Orr said

  • The 57 on Heinz ketchup bottles represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had.
  • In the early days of the telephone, operators would pick up a call and use the phrase, "Well, are you there?". It wasn't until 1895 that someone suggested answering the phone with the phrase "number please?"

Day 11: Un pas si joyeux anniversaire

Day 11

A few weeks ago Day 11 or May 16th would have been a pretty happy and exciting day for me that luster had now been lost for the day and I was in the middle of an important atrology experiment now

On Day, Astrologer 2 Da Juana Byrd said:
This evening would be a good time to take a little trip, or get outside. You may want to break that routine and try something new or different.
Well First of all I decided I would go outside and see where the day took me, It took me down the road as that was easier than walking up hill, when I got to the crossroads I continued downhill again the easiest option, but then it started to rain, this wasnt adequate, so I decided to go into my cousins, once there I informed her I was to go on a trip so of we went to my aunt Noreen's, where I once again met up with my cousin Tony who I'd last seen in Manchester 3 days earlier. I always enjoy Noreens as she had just cooked shortbread just like my Granny used to it was nice and Anthony as usual was in good form.

Days 8-10: You can do anything, but not everything

Days 8-10

I spent these days with my cousin in Manchester so I decided to take one piece of advice for these days and see where it would take me

On day 8 Astrologer 4 Jonathan Cainer said
Today go to a party
I was in Manchester I knew only a handful of people in Manchester, I'm not sure my 60 year old aunt or 3 year old cousin were the partying types, thankfully though I knew of a party taking place that very night in the middle of Manchester - The Manchester United Premier League Champions Parade excellent tram ticket bought and I was on my, thankfully this tram went nowhere near the new coronation street set, I arrived near the end of the parade route and waited roughly 30 minutes in what was quite a party atmosphere already until that beautiful double decker came into view
After it we raced til we got to the town hall where the party was in full swing already
What a great day this was choruses of Paul Scholes he scores goals echoed out what a hero he has been
On Day 9 Astrologer 10 Russell Grant said
Tonight is a good night to hit the town

So off I went into town with my cousin now this being a Tuesday night and her not being a student or knowing any studenty places we were in a bit of quandary we ended up in some mostly empty Irish sounding bar which was ok the real saving grace being the music playing classic such as this and this
All excellent tuneage
Google Images tells me nights out in Manchester typically look like this:
Instead I found this
Yeah so I went off home

On Day 10 Astrologer 14 WebWombat said
Today remember past triumphs
Hmmmm I had just the tonic for that

I'd triumphed on that occasion and made quite a lovely video about it  as seen above over 5 years ago how time flies eh? Lets think about that Fella

Well anyway that was a quick run through there's still 30 days left next up day 11

Day 7 - Naturally Juicy

Day 7

Well here we are one week into my 40 day experiment, I find myself still in Lancaster having had quite a lengthy sleep my first decent one in over a week, so out of bed i got and looked at what today had in store for old Hardcore.

On day 7 astrologer 3 Jennifer Angel said:
Find a food or drink you had as a child
So off we went to ASDA cafe, what would we find well at Primary School my favourite days was those that we had mince pie, luckily enough this was today's special so I had some of that, however I felt this wasn't enough as I had mince pie occasionally since my childhood and I still enjoyed it, so I had to find something I hadn't had since my childhood I scanned the drinks section and my eyes widened when I found this little gem
Orangina
Orangina is a carbonated citrus beverage made from orange, lemon, mandarin, and grapefruit juices.
Here's  how they advertise it in France
Naturally Juicy
If that doesn't make you want some orangina I have no idea what will
Following Dean doing his weekly shop we returned to the house for further instruction.

Astrologer 8 Patrick Arundell said:
Stay at home today

Oh, OK I guess today's gonna be quite quiet then, fair enough we had the football to watch and fifa to play nice to get a relaxed day after all my recent travelling. Unfortunately I'm not brilliant at Fifa

We watched some Father Ted

It was a good afternoon

Astrologer 5 Kelli Fox said
Get the popcorn out and watch a film
Easy enough Dean chose Man about Dog which I'd never seen before so result on that front

However Astrologer 9 Rick Levine said
Order a pizza
I'd had a pizza last night, but I guess I was having one again, Pizza ordered film on popcorn out I was set for the night
Man about Dog is a great film as Irish films go it's not as good as The Guard but probably better than Zonad

Anyway There you go 7 days down 33 remaining, my next 3 days were spent in Manchester so that will be condensed into a single blog shortly
